For the combined score of Taijiquan/Taijijian in the Male Category, the impressive Zhou Bin of Fujian came first with 19.52.  In the Male Jianshu/Qiangshu Category there was the familiar battle between Wei Jian and Zhao Kun with Wei Jian of Shanghai taking the top spot with 19.63 and Zhao Kun of Henan following with 19.50, the 3rd place went to Su Bao Cheng of Tianjin with the score of 19.47. In the Female Category, Kan Wen Cong of Hebei was top with 19.42, followed by Zhao Shi of Shanxi 19.39, and Ma Ling Juan of Anhui who is regarded as the top female jian/qiang competitor in China taking 3rd place with 19.35.

Last but not least, the Male Duilian Category was won by Chongqing with the score of 9.72 (must have been impressive), in 2nd Jiangxi with 9.69, and Tianjin who always rank within the top 3 this time with the score of 9.67. The Female Category was won by Ningxia with the score 9.60, followed by Tianjin with 9.58, and Jiangsu 9.56.

That’s that for the top scores, but apart from those, having trained in Shanghai Univesity of Sport during the winter I noticed familiar names such as Pang Ao Fung and Pan Xiao Lan making it into the top 16, so well done to them. I will try to get the footage of the Qualifiers as soon as I can find a way for it to be sent to me by my friends who have recorded the event. If by some reason we will not get hold of this footage fret not because Wushu One Family will be at the 11th All China Games to give you full video coverage of the competition. Peace
